Chapter 47
The Three-Headed Dog and the Package
Having become a Beater for the Ravenclaw Quidditch team, Wizette immediately returned to his dormitory to write a letter, sharing this good news with Luna.
Even in Ravenclaw, where academics were highly valued, the topic of Quidditch could still spark lively discussions.
With Captain Arsenal absent from the common room, everyone lost their target and surrounded Vice-Captain Roger instead, wanting to know the team's specific roster.
"Aside from Arsenal and me, the other members are all new. As you know, many graduated last year..."
"Next is second-year Cho Chang, our Seeker. She has a very solid foundation and quick reflexes. And... Wizette! Come over here! Say hello to everyone!"
Wizette had just come downstairs when Roger spotted him and called him over in front of everyone.
Roger slung an arm around Wizette's shoulders and introduced him loudly, "A superb Beater! Even I am put to shame by his skills!"
"Even Arsenal couldn't react in time. We can look forward to the Quidditch Cup this year! We actually have a shot at the championship!"
Following that introduction, Wizette gained a bit of a reputation within the house.
Ravenclaw's Quidditch performance had been less than ideal, leaving many older students harboring a sense of frustration.
Having finally received Roger's reassurance, they wanted to provide Wizette with practical help, allowing him to focus on training.
Wizette did not refuse their help, receiving many useful notes and tips from these upperclassmen.
This was also why he liked Ravenclaw; the students here loved taking notes, and these records, filled with personal insights, made for excellent study material.
Relying on the study methods he had mastered in his previous life, he could synthesize different notes on the same spell to systematize his own body of experience.
Like the Healing Spell (*Episkey*) Wizette had just learned, its effect was similar to a plaster, helping ordinary wounds heal quickly.
Post-exercise soreness could also be eased with *Episkey*, making it highly useful in daily life.
After compiling four sets of notes, he developed his own understanding of casting *Episkey*.
He recalled a doctor's advice from his previous life, who would tell patients to relax both body and mind, as this would speed up recovery.
This advice could be applied to magic; keeping a relaxed state of mind made it easier to cast *Episkey*.
"Episkey!"
Wizette etched the experience into his heart. Along with his incantation, the tip of his wand emitted a soft green glow.
The light enveloped his wrist, producing a sensation similar to a warm compress, and the soreness caused by throwing the Quaffle vanished instantly.
"You learn so fast," Penelope said, once again questioning her reality. "It took me a whole weekend just to master this spell..."
"Without your notes, I wouldn't have mastered it so quickly," Wizette said hurriedly. "I'm just luckier, fortunate enough to stand on the shoulders of giants."
"I'm glad you see it that way." Penelope's mood improved considerably, and she went back to her revision.
Wizette did not sit idle either. To continue practicing *Episkey*, he targeted other Quidditch players, healing whoever he could.
...
Early the next morning, before Wizette even entered the Great Hall, Fred and George cornered him at the door.
"We heard you've become a Beater?"
"Why not consider being a Seeker? I wanted to see you and Harry go head-to-head!"
Wizette asked, "Did Wood tell you?"
Fred shook his head. "Of course not! Wood wouldn't talk about this, he only knows how to build tactics..."
"The kind of tactics that will exhaust us to death," George continued. "He sat by the fireplace all night, drawing up a plan as thick as *A History of Magic*!"
"Yes! It's terrifying!" Fred shuddered. "A hundred push-ups, a hundred sit-ups, a hundred squats, and a ten-mile run..."
"And most importantly!" George's face suddenly turned very serious. "No thick clothes in winter, we have to use willpower to fight the cold. He's gone mad! Our hair will freeze and fall out!"
The twins' antics made Wizette chuckle, and he couldn't help but say, "Don't worry! I've just learned *Episkey*. I can use it to rescue you."
"Ah! That's wonderful!" Fred let out a bizarre cry. "If I'm ever on the verge of death in the future, you must remember to save me!"
George answered the previous question: "If you want to know any news, it's best to look for Hufflepuffs. Their news is always the fastest!"
"I'll keep that in mind!" Wizette smiled and nodded.
His life proceeded in an orderly fashion. After finishing breakfast, he went to the library to continue studying *Intermediate Transfiguration*.
After some time, Ron's weak voice sounded in his ear: "Wizette, have you finished your homework?"
Wizette looked up. "I finished it the night before last. Are you missing some notes? Ask me if you need anything."
Ron said to Harry beside him, "See! This is the difference between him and Hermione."
Harry glanced at Madam Pince in the distance and nodded in agreement.
Wizette, on the other hand, was slightly puzzled by their intentions. "Did something happen?"
Harry nodded hurriedly. "Yes! Our minds are completely occupied by that monster, we can't focus on our homework at all."
"Monster? Homework?" Wizette was even more confused.
Harry and Ron opened up like a floodgate, recounting everything they had experienced over the past few days.
Malfoy had challenged Harry to a midnight duel. Harry and Ron, hot-headed, snuck out of the common room at night to the meeting point, running into Hermione and Neville along the way.
In reality, the midnight duel was a lie; Malfoy not only failed to show up but also tipped off Filch, intending for them to get caught breaking school rules.
In their panic to evade Filch, the four of them entered the forbidden corridor Dumbledore had warned about and encountered a three-headed dog as large as a house.
Wizette frowned. "A three-headed dog? Guarding a trapdoor?"
"Exactly!" Harry nodded eagerly. "Do you know about the break-in at Gringotts? It must be guarding that package. I went with Hagrid to retrieve it!"
Wizette said, "I don't think this is something you should get involved in. After all, Headmaster Dumbledore said it's a forbidden area."
"That's why we came to borrow your homework..." Harry said miserably. "Finishing our homework is the most important thing. I don't want to be mocked by Professor Snape!"
Ron chimed in from the side, "Hermione won't let us copy, so we could only come to you."
"Copying homework isn't a good habit," Wizette raised an eyebrow. "With Professor Snape's abilities, if you copy mine, I'm afraid he'll see right through it instantly."
"If you say so..." Ron asked quickly, "Then what should we do now?"
Wizette guided them expertly, "Go to the periodical section and find the seventh issue of *Practical Potioneer* from 1986. Reading that and summarizing its contents will help you complete your homework."
