Hogwarts: Starting with Luna's Family, Striving for Godhood

Travelogue of Stockholm

Chapter 46

Travelogue of Stockholm

After Wizette and the others settled their luggage at the inn, they officially entered travel mode.

According to the travel itinerary Xenophilius had booked, their first stop was Stockholm, where they would rest for two days in this Muggle city.

To experience a Muggle life different from wizards, and incidentally visit the nearby wizard market to buy some souvenirs.

After leaving Stockholm, they would land on a nearby small island, a wizard settlement named Meddegard.

Xenophilius had also received news that a wild Crumple-Horned Snorkack had once appeared there, even leaving behind a long horn.

Next, they would stay in the village for a period of time to thoroughly excavate every inch of the island's soil, tracing the footprints of the Crumple-Horned Snorkack.

The three left the inn, going to a sidewalk cafe to sit down. Seeing passersby riding bicycles, Luna suddenly grew interested, also wanting to try this mode of transport.

Whether it was Wizette or Xenophilius, they had no reason to refuse.

After a brief communication, Wizette borrowed three bicycles from the cafe owner, and they went to the square together to practice riding.

"My dear, you must be careful..." Seeing Luna already placing her feet on the pedals, Xenophilius was still very worried, constantly reminding her.

Wizette comforted, "Mr. Lovegood, rest assured. Although my Levitation Charm cannot lift a giant boulder, maintaining the balance of a bicycle is absolutely no problem."

Luna nodded. "Daddy, I'm fine. Didn't Wizette say so? This is very easy to learn!"

Before this, Wizette had demonstrated a round, clearly explaining the key points.

He believed that with Luna's learning ability, learning it would be very easy.

Moreover, Wizette possessed the wandless, silent Levitation Charm, which could maintain the bicycle's balance, preventing Luna from any risk of falling.

Luna also understood this point. After giving an "OK" sign, she pedaled straight forward, and the bicycle glided away.

Immediately after, the front wheel suddenly made a sharp turn, and the bicycle body also began to tilt, her small face tensing up.

Wizette snapped his fingers, and the bicycle body and front wheel restored to their original state, the bicycle gliding forward a short distance again.

He smiled and said, "Don't be afraid, I will protect you well, just pedal boldly!"

Luna's small face relaxed, blooming into a bright smile.

As if finding the secret and confidence, she suddenly pedaled hard, and the bicycle sped forward a large distance.

In just over ten minutes, even without the assistance of the Levitation Charm, she could ride, circling around Wizette and Xenophilius.

Even so, Wizette always kept the Levitation Charm ready, preventing any accidents.

Luna also seemed aware of this, even daring to let go of the handlebars, spreading her arms to welcome the wind.

Wizette looked to the side and asked, "Mr. Lovegood, do you need help?"

Xenophilius held the front wheel, pedaled forward once, the front wheel tilted, and he immediately used his feet to support himself, looking a bit disheveled.

"Cough cough! This is actually very simple... I'm about to learn it!" He coughed a few times and waved his hand.

"Don't stand on the side affecting me, you go play first! In three hours, we'll gather at the market, don't let Luna fall!"

"I understand!" Wizette nodded, pedaling his bicycle quickly to Luna's side.

The meaning of travel probably lay not in the destination, but in the scenery along the way and the precious companions.

At this time, Stockholm was undoubtedly in the most suitable season for travel.

During the day, like a tireless warrior, it always guarded the Swedish sky;

Even when encountering a sudden attack of the night, it could quickly disperse it, once again occupying the dominant position;

White and warm were the main tones of the sky; darkness seemed to be only a stroke passing by momentarily, embellishing a bit of fleeting melancholy blue.

The two rode their bicycles side by side through the city, comfortably passing through streets that were either modern or ancient.

When encountering cobblestone roads, Luna would let out a clear laugh like wind chimes because of the bumpy road surface, her voice vibrating accordingly, extremely interesting.

When Luna was tired of pedaling, the two got off their bikes and walked, feeling the difference of this city;

Either enjoying the afternoon sun, listening to the melodies of street artists;

Or finding a snack shop, tasting local specialties;

Or standing by the river, watching birds skim across the lake, or fish leaping out of the water...

In this almost eternal long day, Wizette and Luna walked and played, finally arriving at the Wizard Market.

Xenophilius seemed to have just arrived here; his bicycle had obvious scratches and dents, indicating he had suffered a bit.

He raised his eyebrows at Wizette, as if implying something.

Wizette coughed lightly, saying in an appreciative tone, "Mr. Lovegood, your speed is really fast! Arriving here so much earlier than us."

Luna giggled, nodding in agreement, "Daddy, you ride so fast, much better than us!"

"Of course!" Xenophilius smoothed his brow, letting out a soft hum. "Surely this kid Wizette led the wrong way, otherwise Luna would definitely be faster than me."

Wizette went with the flow, seeing Luna wink at him, and nodded in response, "Yes, it was all my fault for leading the wrong way. I am indeed not familiar with this place, after all, it's my first day here."

"Mhm! Good that you know." Xenophilius raised his eyebrows, as if saying "This kid is very sensible."

Luna noticed the change in Xenophilius's expression, letting out another round of happy laughter.

To enter the Stockholm Wizard Market, one needed to pass through a wall piled with a lot of rotten fish.

Inside the wall was a large outdoor square, without any shop buildings around.

Several tall wizards stood at the edge of the square, wands in hand, ready to face enemies, probably responsible for maintaining order in the market.

The market was a clamor; replacing shops were sidewalk stalls, wizards sitting on the ground, displaying corresponding items on canvas, considered as setting up shop.

Around the sidewalk stalls, several wizards gathered, picking at various things on the canvas, haggling.

Such a lively market gave Wizette a feeling of dreaming of his past life, very much like the feeling of strolling through a night market.

Knowing Wizette's school experience, Xenophilius handed over the heavy responsibility of choosing specialties to Wizette.

He had discussed with Wizette that he only needed to purse his lips, posing with a deep and unpredictable look.

If Wizette fancied any item, he would give him the corresponding signal.

For example, if the item was good and cheap, Wizette would cast the Levitation Charm, vibrating a hair on the top of his head. If haggling was needed, he would poke the back of his neck.

Xenophilius only needed to base on the corresponding signal, pretend to pick up the item to look at it, put on a face of deep thought, then lower his voice, trying to haggle simply.

Seeing Xenophilius still a bit confused, Wizette rubbed his nose, "Mr. Lovegood, imagine Professor Snape's face... almost that kind of expression."

Xenophilius suddenly understood, "Oh! So that's it, I understand."

Luna felt this matter was too interesting, looking forward to the next performance of the two...
