Chapter 1
Truly Super Cute!
Rain pattered outside the eaves, making the night seem even denser. The rain grew heavier, and since Jiang Qi didn't bring an umbrella, the rainwater lashed against his clothes, soaking the uniform he had changed into not long ago.
The sound of a motorcycle engine echoed from outside the alley, followed by chaotic splashing sounds.
Meng Sizhe panted, his black hair drenched by the downpour. Clutching his helmet, he hurriedly ran to the entrance of the alley. With one glance, he saw Jiang Qi playing on his phone while sheltering from the rain, a cigarette casually dangling from his mouth.
At his feet lay several Alphas who had been beaten half to death, barely able to even groan.
Since he still looked this handsome, he was probably fine.
Meng Sizhe let out a sigh of relief, even kicking the three bastards as he walked past.
Looking up at Jiang Qi smoking, Meng Sizhe was about to say something when he suddenly stopped. He blinked, ran back to his motorcycle, and pulled an umbrella out of his bag.
Meng Sizhe opened the umbrella and ran over to shield Jiang Qi, nagging like a mother: "Brother You, you're an Omega after all. What if you catch a cold from the rain? If you're stuck lying at home, no one will even know."
Jiang Qi glanced at him and said coldly, "Shut up."
Meng Sizhe snorted and handed the umbrella to Jiang Qi, completely unafraid: "Alright, Brother You, although I call you Brother You, you're younger than me. You should listen to me once in a while."
Jiang Qi stubbed out the cigarette, threw it into the trash can, took the umbrella, walked to where the motorcycle was parked, and waved at Meng Sizhe.
"What is it?"
Once Meng Sizhe got close, Jiang Qi stripped off his jacket, wiped the back seat with it, and threw it back to him.
"Damn." Meng Sizhe wanted to cry but had no tears.
Jiang Qi comfortably sat on the dry back seat, patted the front seat, and sneered, "Alright, didn't you say you were afraid of me catching a cold? Hurry up and drive me back."
Meng Sizhe glared at Jiang Qi in annoyance, but when he met his gaze, his anger instantly fizzled out.
"Ok, ok, let's go!"

Because of the rain, Ji Yue brought the clothes in from the balcony, but he didn't fold them, earning him a scolding from his old man.
The old man muttered while folding the clothes.
Ji Yue ate fruit while resting his feet on the table, watching TV and happily listening to the scolding.
Mother Ji sat nearby, smiling sweetly. "Sweetheart, did you hear what your father said?"
Ji Yue immediately sat up straight and nodded seriously.
"I know, Mom. Next time I bring the clothes in, I'll fold them."
Mother Ji nodded in satisfaction.
"Oh right, and about your teacher, you must remember what he said. We didn't move close to the school for nothing, right? You must study properly at school."
Ji Yue felt helpless. "Mom, didn't you just say this morning that we don't need to study well as long as we're happy? Why did you change your mind so quickly? Besides, didn't we move here because it's close to Dad's company?"
Mother Ji smiled, her eyes identical to Ji Yue's, the sharp corners of her eyes carrying a hint of fierceness.
"Sweetheart, say that again, Mom didn't hear clearly."
Ji Yue silently swallowed a cherry tomato and replied, "Yes, Mom, no problem."
Only then did Mother Ji give an "un".
"Also, keep an eye on Little He. He has had a hard time. As for the others, your father and I will handle them, you don't need to worry."
Mother Ji spoke casually, as if just mentioning it in passing.
Ji Yue was slightly startled, his eyes darkening as he replied, "Yes, I will keep an eye on him."
The rain outside grew heavier. Ji Yue finished half the plate of fruit and took his phone into his room.
Ji Yue's room was decorated by himself. It wasn't as messy as other Alphas' rooms, but it had a lot of things: a computer, game consoles, Lego, a basketball hoop—nothing was missing, and one wall was even filled with shoes.
Closing the bedroom door, Ji Yue lay stretched out on his bed. After thinking for a moment, he decided to call Jiang He.
"Brother, Brother Ji!"
Jiang He wasn't nearsighted; he usually just wore non-prescription glasses. At this moment, he had just finished showering. After taking off his glasses, a delicate face was revealed.
If anyone else saw him, they probably wouldn't recognize that this exceptionally handsome youth was the incredibly "plain" Jiang He.
Ji Yue was used to this appearance of Jiang He, or rather, he didn't care much about his cousin's looks.
He gave an "un" and looked at his panicked cousin in the video. Waiting for the other party to sit down with a serious face, he slowly said, "Don't be so tense, we're just chatting."
Jiang He nodded seriously.
Ji Yue didn't know what to do and clicked his tongue. "I haven't asked lately, are those idiots still looking for you?"
Jiang He was slightly surprised and shook his head obediently.
"With Uncle and Aunt keeping watch, no one has come."
Ji Yue nodded. "Just walk to school with me lately, don't wander around. I'll pick you up tomorrow."
Jiang He let out an "oh".
Ji Yue looked at Jiang He's expression and asked in confusion, "What, you don't like going to school with me? Don't think just because you're an Alpha you can let your guard down. Honestly, I can knock you out with one finger, so watch out."
Jiang He shook his head, his expression slightly hesitant. "Brother, I want to attend morning self-study. I have to be at school before six-thirty, you..."
Ji Yue's face stiffened, and he coughed. "I see. Forget about the morning then. I'll have Lan Yunjie pick you up."
Jiang He nodded.
After that, Ji Yue said a few more random things and hung up, calling Lan Yunjie to break the bad news to him.
Lan Yunjie: ...
Laying down after finishing these tasks, Ji Yue felt relieved all over. He threw his phone aside, preparing to sleep.
Unfortunately, he had slept all day, and now he couldn't fall asleep no matter how much he tossed and turned.
Ji Yue propped himself up, idly scrolling through his phone, hoping it would lull him to sleep.
[I am yq requesting to add you as a friend.]
[Source: Added from WeChat group]
Who was this yq?
Ji Yue stared at the half-black, half-white profile picture, which was clearly divided down the middle, and then clicked on the person's Moments.
Blank, not a single post.
Ji Yue thought about it and clicked accept.
The two quickly became friends. Ji Yue waited for a moment, and seeing that the other party didn't say anything, he was about to exit and delete them in boredom.
Just then, the other party sent a message.
It was a photo.
A pink lollipop.
Exactly like the one Ji Yue had given Jiang You yesterday.
jy: Jiang You?
yq: Yes.
jy: :)
Is he sick? Ji Yue wondered if Jiang You had been scared silly yesterday and still hadn't recovered.
yq: Yes. :)
jy: Thanks, cured my craving.
yq: Don't mention it. :)
Ji Yue's interest was piqued. This Jiang You was really something, did he have to compete with him over the smiley face emoji?
jy: The top student is quite free today, huh?
Jiang Qi rolled up his sleeves, hugged his pillow, his amber eyes filled with mischievous laughter. He was about to die of laughter from this person.
Truly super cute!
yq: It's alright. :)
Ji Yue: I'm really angry right now!!!
Who knows how long the two of them bickered like this. All that was known was that when Ji Yue fell asleep, he even saw that ghostly smiley face in his dreams.
It was truly a tragedy to hear, a sorrow to behold.
As for why Jiang You suddenly added him, Ji Yue didn't think much about it.
Adding him was just adding him. Could adding a WeChat account change their fire-and-water dynamic?
Just looking at their chat history, every sentence, every word, even every punctuation mark reeked of gunpowder!
Ji Yue planned to talk to this Omega when he got to school, asking him what he was thinking, spamming smiley faces all night like a child.
This guy didn't realize at all that he was just like an elementary school kid himself, sending smiley faces all evening. What right did he have to talk about others?
They were just two of a kind.
