Chapter 4
"What's Your Name?" - "Your Father."
The system suddenly said, "[I see the male lead's car.]"
Its voice dropped slightly, "[He just arrived. The club has been sealed off. You two completely missed each other. If we mess up the plot, we'll both die.]"
Xiang Chen was about to get into the police car. In that instant, she instinctively turned her head and indeed saw a completely black Bentley parked by the roadside, its license plate all eights.
Xiang Chen raised an eyebrow, then without hesitation, slipped into the police car.
It was impossible for her to be tormented. As long as she didn't bow down to him for money, he would never be able to torment her.
After all, being reborn was already a gain. If the mission failed, she didn't care.
By the time Xiang Chen finished her statement at the Police Station, it was late.
The club manager had long since been bailed out and left.
As soon as she stepped out of the Police Station lobby, she received a call from the club manager informing her that she was fired.
Xiang Chen didn't really care about being fired or not. She hadn't intended to continue working there anyway, but some things still needed to be clarified. "We signed an employment contract. Firing me without cause requires triple the salary in compensation. I wonder if the club plans to pay in cash or transfer the money to my card?"
"You caused the club such huge trouble today, and you still want money? Vivian, have you forgotten what kind of place this club is! You'd better think about how to answer the boss!"
Xiang Chen had caused the club to be sealed off, so they could only release her. Thus, the manager was unrestrained, his angry scolding not only heard by Xiang Chen but also clearly by the man sitting in the black Bentley, which had been parked beside her for an unknown period.
The phone "bang"ed as it was cut off. Xiang Chen tilted her head and saw the Bentley's window roll down.
The man in the car looked at her, his arm in a suit extending, carrying the scent of smoke. His fingertips held a half-smoked cigarette, its glow flickering. The scent of tobacco instantly invaded, domineering.
He took a puff, his deep black eyes profound, his expression indifferent, and asked, "What's your name?"
Xiang Chen met his gaze. The faint streetlights shone down, and her innocent, harmless eyes seemed to be veiled with a layer of mist. Her nostrils flared slightly, her full, rosy lips curved upwards slightly, a natural yet innocent smile.
Then she slowly replied, "Your father."
