The Male Lead's Mistress

The first story in the angst anthology is titled "Bone-Deep Perilous Love: The CEO's Spoiled Little Wife." The female lead is a kind and gentle girl who, despite her impoverished background, always maintains a positive outlook on life—a pure and innocent "White Lotus."

To torment the female lead, the author gave her a father who was a violent alcoholic that fled after racking up massive gambling debts. Her mother worked herself to exhaustion trying to pay off his debts, leading to a critical illness with very little time left to live.

Desperate to save her mother, the kind-hearted girl took on numerous part-time jobs. However, most were time-consuming and low-paying; earning enough for her mother's kidney transplant through such means was impossible. In her desperation, she was introduced to work as a server at a high-end club.

But in a place like that, the base salary was only three thousand yuan; only those who sold alcohol earned substantial commissions. She realized she might have been deceived, but since she had already signed a labor contract, she had to work for at least a month to receive her pay before quitting.

Unexpectedly, she hadn't been working long before she caught the eye of a predator.

The female lead looked far too innocent, harmless, and easy to bully.
