Chapter 13
Breakthrough in Transfiguration
Watching Wizette leave in a hurry, Professor Sprout closed the pitch-black wooden trunk.
"It only took two weeks again!" She couldn't help but exclaim. "Children nowadays are truly extraordinary... No wonder Headmaster Dumbledore thinks so highly of him!"
"And he even managed to make Snape suffer a loss. Thinking about it is still very amusing..." She sighed softly. "A pity I couldn't witness it with my own eyes. I wonder what expression Snape had."
……
Professor McGonagall had obtained approval for the broomsticks. Although they were still old brooms, they were well-maintained, and the previous accidents no longer occurred.
The students made use of the precious time to fly freely in the air, while only Wizette was still studying the pathways of magic.
Repeatedly observing the camouflage process of Devil's Snare, he felt countless inspirations welling up in his mind, even having a feeling of them overflowing.
When the flying lesson ended, after saying goodbye to his roommates, he returned to the greenhouse.
Only Professor Sprout was in the greenhouse, conducting the final cleanup of the weekend.
Wizette first greeted her, then took out his wand to help with the cleaning.
Professor Sprout handed over a glass of drink. "Dittany honey water. You won't get to drink this elsewhere; this is my unique secret recipe!"
Wizette took the glass and took a small sip. Aside from the sweet aroma, there was a refreshing sense of alertness.
"Tasty, isn't it? The honey ratio this year is very good." Professor Sprout said proudly. "Are you still planning to observe the Devil's Snare?"
Wizette shook his head. "Professor Sprout, I actually want to borrow a Flitterbloom... is it alright to cast spells on it?"
Professor Sprout nodded. "Of course, no problem! As long as you don't use Dark Magic, the vitality of the Flitterbloom is very resilient."
"I want to practice Transfiguration..." Wizette said quickly. "I had some insights earlier and want to put them into practice."
"Of course, no problem!" Professor Sprout took out her wand and waved it toward the distance. The pitch-black wooden box immediately floated into the air.
"You can practice here slowly..." She instructed Wizette. "I have to hide the Devil's Snare; it is still very dangerous. When you leave later, just help me close the door."
……
"Wingardium Leviosa!" Wizette gently raised his wand, and several pages of notes floated in the air.
On these pages of notes, the magic pathways of Devil's Snare and Flitterbloom were recorded, from active to static states.
Not only that, but *Theories of Transubstantial Transfiguration* was also ready in his mind, available for reference at any time.
He cast the *Guardian Meditation Technique*, letting the pages of notes float around him as he walked up to a Flitterbloom.
Sensing someone approaching, the Flitterbloom became lively, its vines gently dancing to a certain rhythm.
With the help of the *Guardian Meditation Technique*, his attention was highly concentrated, his thoughts bridging the notes and *Theories of Transubstantial Transfiguration*.
Wizette gently activated his wand, guiding the Levitation Charm to flip the pages back and forth, creating the effect of turning pages by hand.
Combining *Theories of Transubstantial Transfiguration*, light seemed to appear in his eyes. "So it can be done through this method..."
He opened his Mage Sight, raised the wand in his hand, and pointed its tip straight at the swaying Flitterbloom in front of him.
With the help of Mage Sight, Wizette's magic permeated the Flitterbloom, reaching straight into its magic pathways.
He turned his magic into "clothing," wrapping around the Flitterbloom's magic pathways.
"Vine shaping!"
Wizette whispered softly, controlling the magic surrounding the Flitterbloom to become sharp, approximating the magic pathways of Devil's Snare;
As he shaped it, the Flitterbloom's swaying motion halted, and the bright green of its vines turned dark green……
The vines of the Flitterbloom became as flexible as a pack of snakes, twisting and turning in all directions, as if stretching.
Suddenly, as if receiving some command, the dark green vines that had stretched out surrounded and completely enveloped Wizette, lifting him straight into the air……
……
As the sun gradually set, the two professors walked together toward the greenhouse.
Professor Sprout looked at Professor McGonagall, her voice filled with worry. "Minerva, is it really alright for me to place the Devil's Snare there?"
"At least Headmaster Dumbledore said so..." Professor McGonagall shrugged, a hint of helplessness on her face as well. "After all, he did ask you to popularize the weaknesses of Devil's Snare."
Professor Sprout sighed. "I still feel it's not quite safe. That is... the mysterious person."
"This is probably not to prepare for the mysterious person." Professor McGonagall adjusted her glasses. "Consider it a supplement... for the final exam?"
"If that's the case, the students being tested are quite pitiful..." Professor Sprout exclaimed. "Even for an adult wizard, facing so many difficult problems at once would probably cause quite a headache."
"If it is Dumbledore's consideration, we just need to continue trusting him," Professor McGonagall said firmly. "After all, he has guided Hogwarts through so many years of wind and rain."
"Of course I won't doubt Dumbledore." Professor Sprout smiled. "Speaking of which, he has started working overtime again lately, always coming to me for Dittany honey water."
She shrugged with some helplessness. "I had prepared a whole jar of Dittany honey water for him, and now only half a jar is left..."
"The thought is enough. After all, Headmaster Dumbledore is under immense pressure." Professor McGonagall found it amusing.
"To relieve pressure, sweets are undoubtedly the best way, though it feels like he is a bit too fond of sweets."
Professor Sprout also smiled, looking toward the greenhouse in the distance, and suddenly cried out, "Oh! Merlin's beard! Why is there still Devil's Snare there!"
"Impossible! I only brought one Devil's Snare here! And I've already taken it away... I even told Wizette..."
"Wizette?" Professor McGonagall quickly looked toward the greenhouse.
At the wide-open door of the greenhouse, there was indeed a massive mass of Devil's Snare, coiling like a pack of snakes, seemingly performing a constricting hunt.
Without time to speak, Professor McGonagall directly transformed into a tabby cat, dashing out in an instant, reaching the greenhouse door in just a few breaths.
Sure enough, the Devil's Snare was indeed hunting! It had enveloped the student inside and was still continuously coiling its vines, seemingly trying to strangle him.
Professor McGonagall felt her heart skip a beat. Through the gaps in the Devil's Snare, she saw a face—Wizette's face.
"Incendio!"
She barked, and a majestic fire lion immediately burst from her wand, growing larger in mid-air as it lunged at the Devil's Snare.
In the next instant, the fire lion lunged at empty air, as the Devil's Snare vanished completely.
"Professor McGonagall..." Wizette's voice rang out right on cue. "It's me..."
"Wizette!" Professor McGonagall took a deep breath, her expression turning extremely serious. "What on earth was that just now?"
At this moment, Professor Sprout also caught up, panting as she asked worriedly, "Minerva... Wizette... are you alright..."
