Chapter 39
Blood and Manifestation
It's very simple, temporarily put aside those beautiful magical props, then answer this question of mine: I want to teach you a spell, alright?
Looking at the ornate words in the diary, Pansy frowned, her eyes flashing with thought.
This process didn't last long; she quickly took off the silver necklace around her neck, picked up a pen, and intended to agree to Riddle's request.
Before she could put pen to paper, she suddenly felt a warmth, like the warmth of sunlight.
The Slytherin common room and dormitories were very special, built beneath the castle, even allowing one to see the scenery under the Black Lake through the windows.
Due to this unique geographical location, the common room and dormitories were perpetually gloomy and damp, almost never experiencing such warmth. Even on scorching summer days, the place remained shrouded in coldness.
Not only Pansy felt it, but the students currently in the common room also felt that warmth. They looked around with some confusion, wanting to find the source of the warmth.
Before they could find the answer, the warmth was sucked away as if by a whirlwind, disappearing towards the girls' dormitory.
The students almost simultaneously shivered, their eyes showing some doubt, curious as to where that warmth had come from.
"Mr. Riddle, did you do something?"
Pansy's eyes flashed with some doubt; she felt as if the diary had undergone some abnormality, having absorbed that fleeting warmth.
Pansy, I think I can meet you sooner. Just give me a drop of fresh blood, and I can step out of the diary.
"Fresh blood? Any animal blood will do, right?"
I don't wish for you to be hurt, but fresh blood will affect my image. If I use the blood of those pets, perhaps I will become...
Looking at the ellipses in the diary, Pansy was a little flustered.
Yet these words truly captivated her, so much so that she hoped to actually see Riddle, to see what Riddle truly looked like.
I know obtaining your fresh blood is a distant hope. Perhaps by obtaining the fresh blood of a beautiful lady like you, I might become better?
"I think I can do it..." Pansy wrote these words, then found a letter opener from her luggage.
She placed the tip of the knife on her thumb, gritted her teeth, and pressed down...
Fresh blood dripped into the diary, spreading into a gruesome, enchanting blood flower, like a mandrake flower.
The diary absorbed the fresh blood and began to vibrate rhythmically.
Countless lines of ink flew out of the diary, like ribbons wrapping around Pansy once, finally falling to the ground and coalescing into a human form.
It was a tall, dark-haired young man with handsome features and sickly pale skin, which further enhanced his cold demeanor.
He lowered his eyes, frowning slightly as he looked around.
After a glance, he said in an apologetic tone: "My appearance in the girls' dormitory is perhaps not very appropriate."
He elegantly bowed in apology: "However, Pansy... I cannot bear to be too far from you, I am truly sorry!"
I cannot bear to be too far from you!
These words made Pansy's mind go blank for a moment. She quickly stood up, hugged the diary, and ran to Riddle: "Can others see you too?"
Riddle shook his head: "Just to meet you, I have almost exhausted all my strength... so they cannot see me."
Pansy immediately asked: "Do I still have to kill chickens? Steal the life force of roosters?"
"Yes." Riddle smiled faintly. "I can return to the diary first, then find a quiet place to master this magic."
Pansy frowned tightly: "Then I'll have to think carefully."
Riddle maintained his faint smile: "Was there anywhere that used to be a forbidden area? Such places usually don't have many people."
Pansy's eyes lit up: "There is such a place! I remember last year, Dumbledore forbade students from entering it."
"After that, a dark wizard intruded, and Harry Potter, that Lovegood fellow, along with a professor, all ended up in the hospital wing because of it."
She didn't know if it was because she had given blood, or for some other reason, but she felt like a leaky barrel, willing to tell Riddle anything.
Riddle nodded: "It seems like a good place... Harry Potter... you seem to have mentioned him to me before..."
"That 'Boy Who Lived'! And they say he defeated You-Know-Who." Pansy frowned. "Draco lost face because of him last year, he's just an ordinary person!"
"You-Know-Who, Harry Potter, Lovegood, professor..." Riddle gave a charming smile. "That place will be a good location!"
-------------------------------------
"Next time you come to find me, you must still use the Patronus Charm."
In the corridor, Professor Snape instructed Wizette: "A small-range Patronus Charm, cast it once upon entering the office. And what happened this afternoon, tell no one else!"
Wizette nodded: "Yes, Professor Snape, I will remember!"
Professor Snape nodded: "It's late, go have dinner!"
Wizette blinked; he noticed something peculiar.
Since leaving that classroom, Professor Snape, besides having red-rimmed eyes, had also changed his tone; it was no longer as cold and low, and even his gaze was softer than usual.
This might also be the effect of the Patronus Charm; this magic, created from positive emotions, could not only ward off Azkaban Dementors but also protect those around it.
"It's him again!"
Harry's soft voice echoed in the corridor; Hermione and Ron were with him.
Seeing Snape walking towards him, Harry resignedly pouted, seemingly ready to have points deducted.
What surprised him was that Snape merely glanced at him, then swept past like a gust of wind, without saying a word.
"Huh?"
"Oh?"
"Uh..."
Harry, Ron, and Hermione looked at each other, seeing the same puzzled bewilderment in each other's eyes.
After confirming Snape had gone downstairs, Harry said in astonishment: "He... he didn't deduct points?"
Ron's mouth hung open; he could only appeal to Wizette, who he considered omnipotent: "Wizette... what exactly happened between you two?"
Wizette replied simply: "Consulted on some Potions knowledge."
Harry mumbled: "Only you could do something like this... seeking Snape for Potions knowledge."
"Ah!" Hermione sighed, her words filled with admiration.
Wizette reached into his pocket and took out the repaired wand: "Oh right! I was in a hurry this afternoon and forgot to give this to you."
"My wand! My wand!" Ron was overjoyed, his hands trembling as he took the wand, continuously stroking its shaft.
"Lumos!" After admiring it for a while, he waved his wand and cast the lighting charm: "It's perfect! Just like new!"
