Superpowers for All: My Abilities Are Too Bizarre

The Shadow Group

Chapter 41

The Shadow Group

After leaving that place, Shen Yi returned to school.

Having attended class for only a single day, he left again.

First, he went to Qin Feng's place, wanting to ask how to contact Xia Yuan, who had told him to seek him out.

He had planned to go to the Lifestyle Department to ask Qian Huafeng, but the man was nowhere to be found.

"Kid, I heard you obtained quite a decent opportunity at the Pseudo-God Society. Looking at you now, it's indeed true. You've already reached the Seventh Stage." When Shen Yi checked his attribute panel, even he was surprised that he had reached the Seventh Stage in just a few days.

For him, this was something he wouldn't have even dared to dream of before.

Furthermore, both his Strength and Spirit attributes had broken past a thousand.

"You are no longer suited to be a student. How about you lead a class?"

"Huh??"

Shen Yi was bewildered. What was going on? He had only been a student for a few days, and now they wanted him to be a teacher?

"Teacher, did I hear wrong? You want me to be a teacher?" he asked, unsure.

"Yes. Currently, most students are at the Fourth or Fifth Stage. You are more than qualified to be a teacher. Besides, with your current strength, the teachers here have nothing left to teach you," Qin Feng said calmly. After hearing about the recent events, the school administration had made this decision.

The higher-ups' idea was to find a way to keep Shen Yi at the school. If he couldn't be a student, then he could only be a teacher.

"Teach what?"

"In our Inner Court, there's basically no need to teach anything. Students spend most of their time in Training Pods. Aside from occasionally imparting theoretical knowledge, teachers mainly lead students when they enter Secret Realms."

"This..." Shen Yi hesitated. He really didn't know what he was supposed to teach.

"No need to rush. Think it over slowly," Qin Feng laughed, not pressing him.

"Right, Teacher. Emperor Xia told me to look for him. How do I contact him?" Recalling Xia Yuan's words at the Pseudo-God Society, he asked.

"Emperor Xia will be here shortly. Wait here for a bit." Qin Feng seemed to have anticipated this and pointed to the sofa, telling him to wait there.

Just as Shen Yi sat down, the office door was pushed open, and Xia Yuan walked in.

"Emperor Xia," Qin Feng and Shen Yi greeted, quickly standing up.

"Let's go. I'll take you to the Shadow Group," Xia Yuan said to Shen Yi, nodding to Qin Feng.

"The Shadow Group?" Qin Feng's heart shook upon hearing this. He knew of the Shadow Group; it was the most mysterious organization in all of Huaxia.

Xia Yuan tapped the air, and Shen Yi felt his body lose control. The next instant, both of them vanished.

He felt the surrounding space distort for a few minutes. Then, his vision cleared, and they appeared inside a military camp.

Xia Yuan led Shen Yi from the camp entrance all the way inside, stopping before the central building and pushing the door open.

The room was extremely simple, containing only a large table and several chairs. It was clearly a conference room.

"Wait here for a moment," Xia Yuan instructed him, walking to the head of the table and pressing a button.

A flash of light flickered, and the previously empty seats in the conference room were suddenly occupied by over a dozen figures.

He recognized two of them: Qian Huafeng and Gu Xiu.

However, they sat near the very end of the table.

Upon appearing, they saw Shen Yi standing at the edge and nodded to him. They were equally shocked, clearly knowing why he was here, though neither spoke.

"What is the matter today that you have gathered us?" someone immediately asked once everyone had materialized.

"I have gathered you all today because I wish to have someone join our Shadow Group. I would like to hear your opinions," Xia Yuan said unhurriedly, pointing to Shen Yi.

"So young?" Everyone looked at Shen Yi. They had expected a reclusive master, not a youth.

"What capability does he have? From what I can see, his strength is at most at the Fourth or Fifth Stage. Just throw him into the Shadow Group's training camp." Someone immediately suggested. Joining the Shadow Group and joining its training camp were two entirely different concepts.

The Shadow Group consisted of the people present, who were its leaders. Every major decision had to be voted on by them to prevent anyone from abusing power for personal gain.

Because they were present only as holographic projections, they couldn't sense Shen Yi's strength. Even Qian Huafeng and Gu Xiu didn't know his exact cultivation level.

Back at the Pseudo-God Society, they hadn't paid close attention to his cultivation base.

"The Shadow Group's training camp is no longer suitable for him. He is currently at the five-star Seventh Stage." Hearing Xia Yuan's words, everyone was astounded. None of them had expected his cultivation to be so high.

"He is eighteen years old this year," Xia Yuan added. This statement instantly silenced the room. While they had seen Seventh Stage cultivators in their twenties, who were indeed geniuses, joining the Shadow Group still wasn't easy for them.

But eighteen was different. Though the age gap seemed small, those few years represented a night-and-day difference.

"I estimate his talent is at least Grade SS." Hearing this, everyone naturally assumed that for an eighteen-year-old to reach the Seventh Stage, it would be strange if his talent wasn't at least Grade SS.

"At the very least Grade SS, untested."

"I..." Everyone gasped, looking at Xia Yuan speechlessly. Couldn't he just finish his sentence instead of dropping bombshells one by one?

"Therefore, I propose he join the Shadow Group. Do you have any objections? He possesses dual Fire and Lightning abilities, and they have completely fused," Xia Yuan spoke again.

Everyone: "..." Could he please just say everything at once?

This time, their reaction was even more intense. Others might not understand, but they knew that fusing dual abilities was as difficult as ascending to heaven.

Since the emergence of dual abilities, cases of complete fusion were virtually non-existent.

Most separated them first and then found ways to achieve temporary fusion. Complete fusion was something they were hearing of for the first time.

If he could achieve perfect fusion of dual abilities, they might find a way to help other dual-ability users achieve fusion ahead of time.

Everyone stared at Xia Yuan. Once they were sure he had finished speaking, they fell into deep thought.

"I believe we should still test his strength first, or perhaps have him challenge the Duel Tower," an elder spoke slowly.

"No need for requirements that are too high. If he can reach the Tenth Floor, that will suffice," another person added, clearly skeptical that this youth could really be so outstanding.
