Chapter 15
The Sword of Frenzied Wrath
I opened my eyes to a landscape of nothing but sand and stone. Not a single tree, nor a living soul was in sight. Beneath me, where I lay, was a massive pool of blood—my own blood, spilled after the brutal battle with that monster.
I struggled to recall what had transpired, then sat up with a jolt. My head spun violently from the severe blood loss. Though my wounds had begun to close, the lingering pain was agonizing. My body felt as weak and fragile as that of a sickly invalid.
Yet, when the image of Yui collapsing before my eyes flashed in my mind, I refused to accept such a reality. Gathering what little strength remained, I stumbled forward to search for her across the desolate wasteland that had once been a lush, green forest.
Following the scars of our battle, I gradually found the place where we had first clashed with the monster. According to my memory, Yui had fallen there.
As I drew closer, I spotted a familiar figure—the very one who had pulled me back from the abyss of despair. Yui lay motionless upon the ground. I sprinted toward her at full speed, not hesitating to use my skills.
She lay there still, two massive wounds piercing her chest and abdomen. I fell to my knees before her body, tears finally spilling over.
"Yui is dead... I failed to save her..." I gritted my teeth and screamed in absolute despair.
Through my tears, I desperately searched for any remaining glimmer of hope. I noticed that although her wounds were deep, they had slowly begun to close from the moment she fell.
Clinging to this fragile hope, I quickly chewed two Belarut leaves and two Rudexx algae, then fed them to Yui. Her wounds began to heal at a faster rate, though her condition remained critical. As if injected with a new lease on life, I repeatedly fed her the herbs.
I waited with utmost patience, from that afternoon until the dead of night. I remained by her side, never moving a single step, quietly watching over Yui and administering the medicine, praying for her swift recovery. Even as my own wounds continued to seep blood, I sat waiting for her to awaken. Her face remained beautiful, yet her expression bore a profound sadness.
By the next morning, Yui's wounds had nearly healed, leaving behind deep scars rather than open gashes. Conversely, my own condition had not improved much; the wounds inflicted by that monster were exceptionally difficult to heal.
By noon, Yui's injuries had faded to mere superficial scratches. My own wounds had also closed, and the pain had subsided to a bearable dull ache.
As evening approached, Yui's body had fully recovered, and she began to stir. Overjoyed, my emotions overflowed, and I could not help but pull her into a tight embrace.
Yui opened her eyes, blushing in confusion upon finding herself in my arms.
"Sechi... what are you doing?"
"You are alive." I said, tightening my grip around her.
"Yes, I have returned." Yui replied softly, wrapping her arms tightly around me in return.
After our reunion, my vision began to blur, and my head spun before I collapsed directly onto her.
"Sechi... Sechi..." Those were the last sounds I heard before slipping into unconsciousness.
When I woke, I found my head resting on Yui's lap. Her gentle scent and soft touch enveloped me.
"You are awake." Her warm voice echoed.
I sat up, inspecting Yui from head to toe to ensure no injuries remained. Indeed, she had fully recovered. I then realized my own wounds had healed as well.
"How long was I out?"
"About an hour. I treated your wounds while you slept."
I took Yui's hand and stood up. "Let us find Asp first. I have not seen him since yesterday. Everything else can wait."
The two of us began our search for Asp. When we reached the spot where he had been blasted away, we found him partially recovered, thanks to the natural resilience and regenerative abilities of the dragon race. However, he had reverted to his baby dragon form, and his lingering injuries prevented him from moving much.
Seeing this, I applied Belarut leaves to Asp's wounds. The gashes began to close and healed completely. Asp opened his eyes and, out of habit, immediately flew up to perch on my shoulder.
"Are you alright?" Asp nodded.
With that settled, we returned to the corpse of the monster—the creature that had obliterated nearly the entire mountain range and reduced a vast portion of the endless forest to a semi-wasteland.
Beholding the colossal corpse, Yui and Asp halted, allowing me to approach alone. I reached out and pulled the sword that was still embedded in its skull.
Suddenly, a bizarre phenomenon occurred. The monster's corpse dissolved into dust and vanished. Beneath the settling dust, a simple, pitch-black sword stood driven into the earth. It radiated no mana whatsoever. I used Analysis on it.
- Name: <Unknown>
- Status: <Good>
I stepped closer and touched the blade. The sensation was entirely different from how it appeared. A colossal vortex of mana began to emanate—no, it was drawing in. It was absorbing all the mana of the forest. Both Yui and Asp grimaced as the sheer volume of mana rushed through the area.
As the mana vortex subsided, the sword began to emit a different energy, a deep crimson aura. Simultaneously, I felt a weight lift from my body. I re-examined the sword's Analysis information, which had now completely changed.

"A Phantasmal-grade weapon..." I muttered.
Its power was terrifying, capable of even manipulating the laws of causality.
"Sechi, that weapon..."
"Ah, this is a Phantasmal-grade weapon. Perhaps the mana within this labyrinth originated from it."
"Phantasmal? That legendary weapon grade?"
"Legendary?"
"Yes, it was only mentioned in an ancient text from some thirty thousand years ago. No one believed it actually existed, not even the gods."
"Yet here it is."
Yui and Asp stepped closer to examine the blade.
"I have an ill premonition about lifting it from the ground."
"But to leave this place, I must lift it. My hand can no longer let go of it."
With that, I exerted all my strength to pull the sword free. It was incredibly difficult, but it finally left the earth.
A terrifying burst of energy erupted, obliterating the remaining stretch of the mountain range and sending the earth flying into the air. A shockwave of mana rippled outward, with me at the epicenter.
"Yui, Asp, are you both alright?"
"Yes, I am fine."
Asp nodded and flew back onto my shoulder.
"But where did that infinite mana go?"
The sword was now encased in a scabbard formed by the Indefinite Seal skill. Its mana had been completely concealed.
I strapped it to my back, crossing it with the Darkness Sword, and set off with Yui and Asp toward the cave to escape the labyrinth.

Deep within the heart of the Demon Realm Continent.
Inside a gloomy castle, Demon King Gozagut sat upon his throne, flanked by his four loyal Great Demon Generals. Suddenly, a cold sweat broke out across the Demon King's brow, and his already pale complexion turned even more ghostly. The four Great Demon Generals asked after him in concern, but he did not answer, sitting in silence, lost in thought.
That was the moment the Demon King felt the ripple of the Sword of Frenzied Wrath's mana pass by.
