Arriving at the Cheng Family, Confrontation

Upon arriving in Luo City, Jiang Rang first went to the tea factory to find the director. She had worked there for three years, ever since moving into the Cheng family home, but now she wanted to quit. Jiang Rang had gotten this job by taking over Cheng Wennian's mother's position, so if the engagement was off, the job should be returned to the Cheng family.

Ye Shuanghua, the tea factory director, hastily asked Jiang Rang why she wanted to quit a good job and if she had discussed it with the Cheng family. After Ye Shuanghua clarified the reasons, she learned that Cheng Wennian had taken a liking to Jiang Rang's cousin, and therefore, upon returning from his business trip, he no longer wanted to register their marriage. Ye Shuanghua truly felt regret; such a good girl like Jiang Rang was betrayed by that Cheng Wennian. So, she quickly agreed to be Jiang Rang's witness.

Everyone went to the Cheng family together. Upon arrival, they unexpectedly found Bai Yuzhu and Jiang Mei already there.

Even a clay idol has three parts temper. Jiang Rang saw the mother and daughter and sneered, "Cheng Wennian, although we haven't registered our marriage, we've already held the engagement banquet. I haven't officially left your house yet, and you've already hastily called Jiang Mei over. Are you planning to have her be a witness?"
