Chapter 9
I'll Do It!
Female clothes...
Jiang You was speechless.
"The day after tomorrow?"
Qi Yue nodded seriously, looking at the Omega in front of him with a wary gaze. "You can't go back on your word."
"I won't..." Jiang You hesitated for a moment, finally speaking up, "For the female clothes, can we not wear a skirt?"
He still felt wearing a skirt was too embarrassing.
Wearing a skirt?
An image immediately appeared in Qi Yue's mind—the Omega wearing a skirt, looking up at him shyly, his amber eyes misty, like a young deer escaping the forest, both adorable and pitiful.
Dazed by his own imagination, Qi Yue smirked. "Ah, a skirt, you must wear one!"
Jiang You was speechless, giving a flat "oh" before brushing past Qi Yue's shoulder to return to the classroom.
Qi Yue followed leisurely behind Jiang You, his face still carrying a smile. But the moment he reached the classroom, he stopped, his smile vanishing.
In the end, he still hadn't found out what had happened to Jiang You, why he had looked so pitiful.
Tsk, this Omega really knew how to change the subject.
Once the morning self-study ended, the classroom fell quiet. Some students slept on their desks, while others rushed to do homework or secretly ate snacks.
Sun Hou was doing his homework while eating, looking up to see his Qi-ge standing at the door, lost in thought. He scratched his head, greeting him, "Qi-ge, did you finish your homework?"
Truly finding something to say when there was nothing.
Zhao Zichen, Sun Hou's deskmate, rolled his eyes at him.
Qi Yue was still in a good mood, casually glancing at Sun Hou. "No, didn't do it."
The classroom was very quiet. Qi Yue's voice wasn't loud, but those sitting nearby heard him clearly.
After Qi Yue sat down, his mind was still filled with the Omega's pitiful expression from earlier.
His dark eyes stared at Jiang You, his gaze full of scrutiny. What on earth had happened to this Omega? If nothing was wrong, then fine, but if he found out someone had bullied him...
Qi Yue's eyes darkened, when suddenly he felt a light touch on his arm.
It was Jiang You nudging him with his pen cap.
Qi Yue looked at Jiang You in confusion. He had to admit Jiang You's cautious appearance was a bit cute, and his thoughts drifted again.
"Do your homework."
Huh? Qi Yue doubted if there was something wrong with his ears. Otherwise, why would he be urged to do homework?
"You want to get into S University."
Jiang You looked at Qi Yue with a firm gaze.
Qi Yue opened his mouth to argue but couldn't find the words. After all, he was the one who said he wanted to go to S University, and he was the one who wanted to be with Jiang You and Jiang Qi.
What could he do?
Qi Yue cleared his throat, gave an "mhm," and pulled a math book from his desk. Looking at the brand-new cover, he fell silent.
Which homework was it?
Seeing Qi Yue remain motionless, a question mark slowly appeared on Jiang You's head. Following his gaze, Jiang You frowned. "Why did you pull out a Grade 10 book?"
Qi Yue immediately looked down at the cover, then casually stuffed it back, pulling out the correct book from the other side, and remained still.
"The exercises at the end of chapter eight."
Jiang You pursed his lips to remind him.
As class was about to start, except for Qi Yue, who was still working, everyone's homework had been collected. Jiang You arranged the workbooks on his desk, turning his head to look at Qi Yue.
Qi Yue was still staring at the first question.
Jiang You paused.
All the Grade 11 homeroom teachers shared a large office, and they were currently arriving one by one.
Jiang You placed the workbooks on the math teacher's desk. At the adjacent desk, Teacher Li was holding a ceramic mug, red pen in hand as he graded papers.
"Teacher, may I see the recent weekly test rankings?"
Jiang You walked over to ask.
The weekly test rankings were compiled, and those who wanted to know their rank could ask the teacher, as they weren't posted publicly.
This was the first time Jiang You had asked for his rank, as he was always first and had no need to check.
"Sure."
Teacher Li had an excellent attitude toward his top student, readily agreeing. He pulled open the left drawer, retrieving a folder filled with the students' weekly, monthly, midterm, and final exam scores.
Jiang You thanked him, taking the folder to a corner of the office and opening the first page.
His eyes scanned past the forty-odd names in the class, finally stopping at the very last name. Seeing the score recorded behind it, his amber eyes trembled.
This was the score from the recent midterm exam. There were many other score sheets behind it. Jiang You flipped through them quickly, closing the folder within three to four minutes.
Only now did Jiang You truly realize how poorly Qi Yue performed academically. In so many exams, only the five or six times he had returned from sports training to take the test did he avoid being last; otherwise, he was always at the bottom.
How could someone score less than two hundred points out of over seven hundred?
To say they would go to City S together, with Qi Yue's current level...
A sense of urgency suddenly rose in Jiang You's heart. He returned the folder to Teacher Li. "Thank you, teacher."
Teacher Li waved his hand. "No problem."
"How have you and Qi Yue been getting along recently?"
Since there was still time, Teacher Li looked at the cold Omega in front of him, deciding to chat with the student he was most proud of.
"Very well," Jiang You replied.
"Qi Yue is a smart child, just a bit mischievous. Don't mind him too much, study hard, and try to pull him along. Form a study group to help each other," Teacher Li said sincerely. "Qi Yue hasn't had it easy either."
*Pull him along?*
Jiang You walked along the corridor, his mind filled with this matter. He wanted to, but how to do it was a problem.
By the time Jiang You returned to his seat, Qi Yue had finally finished the first question.
Qi Yue let out a sigh of relief, looking rather proud. He had finally solved a problem; it seemed math wasn't that difficult!
The answer was the fifth root of 215!
Glancing at Qi Yue's answer, Jiang You saw his proud expression at solving a "difficult problem," temporarily not knowing whether to tell him his answer was wrong.
How could he get such a simple problem wrong?
Jiang You thought for a moment; as a top student, he couldn't comprehend Qi Yue's mindset.
Jiang You: [Jiang Qi, what do you think?]
Jiang Qi, who was sleeping, was woken up, grumbling as he pushed his hair back. [Are you sick? Don't you know I was sleeping?!]
Jiang You felt no guilt about waking his other personality, seriously explaining his problem.
[How do we improve Qi Yue's grades?]
Hearing it was about Qi Yue, Jiang Qi immediately woke up, his eyes shining. After hearing the details, his eyes flashed with confusion: [You want to help Qi Yue improve his grades?]
Jiang You gave an "mhm," his flat tone carrying a trace of happiness that only Jiang Qi could detect: [He wants to go to university in City S too.]
With Jiang You's grades, getting into S University was guaranteed. Initially, Jiang Qi thought that after graduation, they would go their separate ways, and even if they kept in touch, Qi Yue's vague feelings for him would eventually fade.
Thinking of this, Jiang Qi's heart ached.
He was so pathetic; clearly unable to be with Qi Yue, yet still wanting to use any means to spend more time with him. Jiang Qi pursed his lips.
[I'm bad at studying, I don't know.] Jiang Qi thought for a moment, carefully considering before saying, [Aren't you very good at studying? Find some study methods and plans suitable for Qi Yue. There's still a year left to help him improve his scores.]
Jiang Qi was also a poor student, possessing no study methods, only able to offer moral support.
Jiang You took Jiang Qi's advice, falling into thought.
True, his current level was low, but that was fine. He didn't believe that under his guidance, Qi Yue's grades wouldn't improve.
Qi Yue, who was looking at the second question, suddenly felt a chill down his spine. He looked down at the symbols that resembled alien writing, clicked his tongue, and wrote down an answer based on guesswork.
Under his black pen, messy ink marks formed, inexplicably exuding confidence.
Qi Yue felt he was truly a genius. Otherwise, how could he solve these problems so easily?
This was when he wasn't studying seriously; if he did, he would easily surpass a bunch of top students!
Qi Yue was a poor student but filled with self-confidence, completely unaware that "danger" was approaching.
After three full periods, Qi Yue finally finished the six homework questions. He leaned back in his chair with satisfaction, occasionally glancing at Jiang You.
Jiang You was writing something on a piece of paper, and Qi Yue could vaguely see a table.
*What is he writing?*
Qi Yue thought, wondering why he was so focused that even his completion of the homework failed to catch the Omega's attention.
The little princess of the Qi family felt a bit neglected.
He coughed, his long fingers casually pushing his workbook toward Jiang You.
The workbook touched Jiang You's hand, but Jiang You didn't glance at it, his black pen still scratching against the paper.
Qi Yue pulled his workbook back in frustration, feeling like a clown who had brought about his own defeat.
*Didn't I already know the Omega only sees me as a friend?*
The more Qi Yue thought, the more frustrated he became. He felt a bit dejected, his long eyelashes drooping to hide his dark eyes.
*How can I give up!*
The word "give up" had never existed in his dictionary!
Looking at the Omega's delicate profile, Qi Yue's hand itched, wanting to make Jiang You notice him.
In any case, attracting the attention of the person you liked was never wrong, right?
Just as Qi Yue's hand was about to reach out, Jiang You sat up straight, turning his head to look at the hand reaching toward him in confusion.
Qi Yue silently withdrew his hand. "Nothing."
Jiang You gave an "mhm," his gaze immediately falling on Qi Yue's workbook. All six questions were wrong, which was within his expectations.
Qi Yue also realized Jiang You was looking at his homework, proudly smirking, "I finished my homework!"
Seeing his "praise me, praise me" expression, Jiang You offered a reluctant compliment, "Not bad."
Qi Yue was so happy he practically wanted to wag his tail.
"This is for you."
"What is this?" Qi Yue leaned closer to look.
It was the table Jiang You had been writing, filled with a detailed study schedule he had created for Qi Yue.
From each day to each hour, even precise to the minute—when to study, what to read—everything was clearly defined. Even exercise time was included, only lacking a schedule for bathroom breaks.
Qi Yue froze, a bad feeling rising in his heart.
"What is this?" Qi Yue's voice was slightly husky from fear and guilt.
"Your study plan," Jiang You's voice was firm.
"Can I not do it?"
Jiang You blinked. "No."
Qi Yue: "..."
Seeing Qi Yue's resistant expression, Jiang You said, "I will do it with you."
"Whether it's studying or exercising..."
Qi Yue was instantly re-energized. Great, if so, wouldn't their time together increase?
To pursue the Omega, he had to stay by his side to find opportunities!
To catch a fish, you had to cast a long line!
"I'll do it!"
Qi Yue changed his expression, speaking through gritted teeth.
