The Master Lockpicker in Unlimited Flow

Coming Home

Chapter 3

Coming Home

Xiao Zhao sighed, "Alas, love truly makes one uneasy. Only when it concerns Cheng Li does Captain Pei become so anxious."

Normally, Pei Su was always calm; even if an anomaly pierced through him, his expression wouldn't change in the slightest, like a cold-faced Asura covered in blood.

When he first started working, Xiao Zhao was very afraid of Captain Pei. After all, Pei Su was always cold, spoke concisely, a true walking iceberg. Xiao Zhao felt as if he would be frozen solid if he spoke one more word.

Yet, such a cold-faced Asura was changed by an ordinary person.

The entire Bureau of Anomaly Management found this unbelievable.

When Pei Su returned home, the living room light was still on. On the dining table, a portion of cold food was carefully covered, and on the sofa, a figure was curled up.

When they bought this house, because Pei Su lied about being just an insurance salesman, he naturally couldn't spend a large sum of money on a spacious house. Cheng Li was very understanding. He utilized his professional advantage, frequently moving between residential areas to gather information, and finally found this small house, which they then bought together.

The house wasn't large—one bedroom, one living room, one kitchen, and one bathroom—totaling less than one hundred square meters.

When choosing furniture, Cheng Li also tried to pick inexpensive items, so the sofa was small, at least not long enough for someone as tall as 1.9 meters to fully stretch out.

The golden-haired young man was curled up on the small sofa, his arms wrapped around his chest, his face buried in the soft cushion. He seemed to be having a nightmare, his brows tightly furrowed, with not a trace of a smile at the corners of his mouth.

Pei Su squatted down, gently stroking his brows and eyelashes, sighing softly, "I'm sorry, I haven't had time to be with you properly lately."

He placed his tool bag on the table; the black-haired human-shaped keychain clinked softly against the tabletop, startling Cheng Li awake on the sofa. He rubbed his sleepy eyes and asked drowsily, "Brother Pei?"

Pei Su replied, "Mm."

Cheng Li smiled contentedly, reaching out to the man sitting in front of him. Pei Su embraced his warm body; the warmth from Cheng Li dispelled the cold Pei Su had brought from outside. They held each other, Cheng Li transferring his body heat to Pei Su, until the man in front of him became as warm as he was, carrying his scent, only then did he reluctantly let go.
