Chapter 7
Ouyang Jingting, You Have More Money Than You Can Spend
"Yes, I will definitely bring the person you need," Special Assistant Te replied. Seeing that Ouyang Jingting had no further instructions, he picked up the signed documents and prepared to leave. "CEO, you have a banquet at four o'clock. Should I have the car ready now?"
"Fine, go prepare it." Ouyang Jingting glanced at his watch, then crushed his cigarette into the ashtray.
He picked up the coffee cup beside him and was about to take a sip when something occurred to him. He called Special Assistant Te back: "Wait. Tell that girl that if she agrees, I can handle any trouble she's facing, including her mother's medical bills and her father's gambling debts."
Special Assistant Te nodded, carefully closed the door, and left.
In his 200-square-meter office, Ouyang Jingting stood up with his coffee and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window. His office was on the 250th floor. From here, he could see the entire city, feeling as if everything was beneath his feet.
Ouyang Jingting wasn't worried that Xiang Chen would refuse. After all, her requirement was money, wasn't it?

Xiang Chen had no idea Ouyang Jingting was planning to cause her trouble. Today, like any other day, she planned to go prepare her ingredients.
As it happened, she had just stepped out the door when her tricycle bumped into someone.
The person let out a groan, then clutched his chest and stumbled against the wall.
Xiang Chen was startled. Under the wide brim of a baseball cap, she saw a face so pale it lacked any trace of color, looking as if he might faint at any second. Panicked, Xiang Chen rushed to support him, asking with concern, "Are you alright?"
The man covered his mouth with his hand, seemingly unable to breathe from coughing. After a long moment, he waved his hand and said in a raspy voice, "I'm fine."
But as soon as he spoke, he began to cough even more violently. Seemingly accustomed to this, he pulled a handkerchief from his pocket and held it to his mouth.
Once the coughing fit passed, he tucked the handkerchief away. Although his movements were very fast, as if he didn't want anyone to see, Xiang Chen had already spotted bloodstains on the cloth.
Xiang Chen: "..."
