Chapter 10
A Melodramatic Story: Kidney Transplant
However, how could a kind and gentle female lead like her be dissatisfied with her benefactor? She had nothing to repay him with, so she could only serve and care for him with patience and diligence every day. Even when the male lead was drunk, she would stay up all night to look after him, tirelessly cooking hangover soup. Knowing he had a weak stomach, she prepared nutritious meals three times a day to nourish him.
Day by day, the male lead's heart of stone was gradually melted by the female lead's tenderness.
Slowly, even the male lead didn't realize when he had quietly fallen in love with her. But just at this moment, the woman in his heart returned from her studies abroad.
As soon as he heard his "White Moonlight" had returned, the male lead completely forgot about the female lead, following the other woman around every day to please her. Only when he was hurt by that woman would he remember the female lead. But even then, he only returned to her to vent his frustrations, followed by verbal abuse to torment her mentally.
When the other woman discovered the female lead's existence, the male lead immediately terminated the relationship. Even after learning the female lead was pregnant, he heartlessly threw a card at her, demanding she abort the child.
The female lead couldn't bear to lose the baby and wanted to give birth in secret. Consequently, when the other woman came to find her, both were involved in a car accident.
The other woman was in critical condition, and the female lead, fresh from the accident, was forced to give her a blood transfusion. Later, when the other woman suffered kidney failure, the male lead demanded that the female lead donate a kidney.
By this time, the female lead was deeply in love with the male lead, but her heart had grown cold. She suddenly learned she had cancer and was dying, so she agreed to the male lead's demand. She felt that since he had previously paid for her mother's kidney transplant, it was only right for her to return a kidney to him now.
After the transplant, the female lead met a devoted second male lead. With his help, she went abroad to live out her final days. Unexpectedly, she discovered she didn't have cancer; it turned out the hospital had misdiagnosed her.
But by then, the female lead had completely given up hope on the male lead. She accepted the second male lead's pursuit, intending to leave the past behind and start over, only to run into the male lead again.
