My Disciple Keeps Dying

Transmigration: The Late Period

Transmigration: The Late Period

An hour later, at the stone table in front of the thatched cottage, four dishes and a pot of soup were laid out, their aroma drifting in all directions. Throughout the entire process, Zhu Yao maintained her jaw-dropping expression of shock, unable to recover her senses as she stared at her master, who looked like an immortal descended to earth.

"Eat!"

Yu Yan said flatly, sitting opposite her and handing her a bowl of rice, signaling her to eat.

Zhu Yao accepted it mechanically, even as exclamation marks frantically popped up in her mind.

"Master, you know how to cook?"

Yu Yan handed her the chopsticks smoothly, pausing before saying, "Your Grandmaster once taught me."

Ah! So it was a sect inheritance. She silently began to eat, consuming three bowls of rice in one go before she was full. She set down her bowl and chopsticks. Phew! Now that she was full, she finally felt alive again.

Throughout the entire process, Yu Yan just sat opposite her, watching her eat. Once she set down her chopsticks, he began clearing the table. Before Zhu Yao could stop him, he had already taken everything to the kitchen to wash. He even grabbed a bundle of vegetables from the front door to store in the kitchen.

Zhu Yao's eyes lit up; she wanted nothing more than to rush over and stamp the word "virtuous" on her master's forehead. Her master was truly all-powerful!

Yu Yan glanced at Zhu Yao's expression, knowing she hadn't succeeded in drawing Qi into her body yet, but he didn't rush her. He gave her a few instructions, telling her not to be impatient about other types of cultivation. The more Zhu Yao listened, the more touched she felt, feeling as though she had struck gold by finding such a kind and all-powerful master.

Her resolve to cultivate grew even firmer, filled with passion and confidence in her success. She sat back down to sense the spiritual energy. Unfortunately, while her ideals were grand, reality was harsh. Zhu Yao sat for the entire night, and though she didn't doze off this time, she still didn't sense a single speck of spiritual energy. Seeing the sun rise outside, Zhu Yao felt utterly useless.

The last time she went out, she had learned that the other "little radishes" who had climbed the mountain with her had already sensed spiritual energy. They had gone to collect their Identity Jade Plaques because the items inside required spiritual energy to be retrieved. Meanwhile, that kid Xiao Ban had already cultivated to the First Level of Qi Condensation. And that kid surnamed Wang was even more monstrous, already at the Second Level of Qi Condensation. This was why he was the leader of the radishes, commanding them like lightning—wherever he pointed, they struck. Yet she couldn't even activate her Identity Jade Plaque.

*How embarrassing. What do they mean by Lightning Spiritual Root being the top of all spiritual roots?*

Zhu Yao sighed, feeling she should go next door to chat with her master about life and comfort her small, pitiful heart. Just as she stood up, a familiar warm current surged from her lower body, rushing forth like ten thousand stampeding horses, endless and unstoppable.

Zhu Yao's face turned pale, and she wept silent tears. Her period hadn't visited her in ages, and before she could prepare, waves of sharp pain shot through her lower abdomen, nearly scaring her out of her wits. *Damn it, why does it hurt so much?!*

She had a condition where her period was incredibly painful. Thus, a few days before it was due, she was always very careful not to touch cold water, which usually allowed her to pass it safely. But if she caught even a bit of cold, she would end up wishing for death if she didn't get to a hospital quickly.

Yet, since transmigrating to this world several months ago, her period had miraculously vanished. She had thought she was lucky, believing this world lacked that cruel and savage beast called a "period." Who would have thought it was just a case of being unaccustomed to the climate, causing her period to arrive late? These past few months, it had been hiding, waiting for the perfect moment to assassinate her!

Furthermore, she had spent the entire night climbing the mountain in the cold, breezy air two days ago. Now, this menstrual pain was clearly out to kill her!

In just a short while, Zhu Yao was in so much pain she felt as if she were being torn in half, yet she had no way to alleviate the agony. The bed was already stained with spots of red. Just as she felt like she was dying of pain, the door suddenly burst open with a bang. A white-robed figure appeared by her bed.

With a face as cold as ice and sharp brows furrowed, Yu Yan looked in shock at the figure tossing and turning. He instantly asked in anger:

"Are you injured?"

*Who, under his watch, dared to injure his disciple?*

"Mas...ter..." Zhu Yao silently pulled the blanket over her legs. If he saw her period, she might as well jump into a lake and end it all.

"Who injured you?"

Yu Yan reached out, grabbing her wrist to check her pulse. Her Qi and blood were in disarray; it seemed she was severely injured.

"No... it's not!"

Zhu Yao pulled her hand back. He probably hadn't seen anything; she was just on her period. "Master, please go outside. I'll be fine in a moment. If you want to be kind, could you help me make a bowl of red bean soup?"

"Red bean soup? What is that?" Yu Yan was baffled. Looking at her hesitant face, he couldn't figure it out. Was there something she couldn't say openly? Or was she being threatened by the person who had injured her? Yu Yan was truly furious. Who in this world dared to threaten his disciple?

"You do not need to fear. Tell Master what happened, and I will demand justice for you."

"..."

*She really didn't know how to explain menstruation to him.*

"Master, I'm really fine."

Yu Yan's brows furrowed deeper. Seeing her stubborn refusal to speak, he had no choice but to inspect her injuries himself.

"Let this master inspect your injuries."

"Ah! No!" *What injuries? There are no injuries!*

Yu Yan had already lifted the blanket, looking toward her thighs. Due to her pulling the blanket, Zhu Yao's period gushed even more fiercely. In a moment, the blood ran down her thighs, staining her pants. In Yu Yan's eyes, the injury seemed even more severe as the metallic scent of blood grew stronger. He reached out, intending to pull down his disciple's pants to inspect the wound.

Only then did Zhu Yao react violently, pinning his hand down, her face completely pale.

"Master, I'm really fine. This is normal."

Yu Yan still looked at her seriously, his eyes filled with reproach as he pulled her hand away:

"You are so severely injured, how can you say it is normal? Let go, let this master see."

"No!"

Zhu Yao was so terrified she forgot the pain, leaping back to the corner of the bed. At her age, this was the first time she was having her pants pulled down by someone acting so "righteous and unyielding." Who could stay calm?

Yu Yan's face darkened. His already ice-cold face seemed to radiate frost.

"I will do it!"

Zhu Yao shook her head frantically. If he did, would her chastity really be gone just like that!

Yu Yan waved his hand. Zhu Yao felt her body stiffen, flying uncontrollably toward him and falling into his arms. Then, he casually pulled, and Zhu Yao's pants were slid down, revealing a patch of blood staining her fair thighs.

Zhu Yao felt a chill in her lower body. Instantly, embarrassment, shock, and humiliation erupted. A piercing shriek shattered the air, and her right hand instinctively delivered a resounding slap to the man beside her.

"Ah~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~!"
