Chapter 29
The Ten Underworld Gods
"That damned Wolzard!"
In a pile of ruins, several rocks suddenly shook and were flung away. Nai, covered in injuries, brushed dust from herself while grumbling.
"No, it's you, Wu Er Dan De!"
"I thought I was a goner for sure!"
Mea also rose from a pile of rubble nearby.
However, the two suddenly changed their resentful expressions, laughing, "But we are immortal Vampire Queens, this little matter won't trouble us!"
Mea said, jumping to pull out a buried silver umbrella. Yet, after pulling out the umbrella, the two saw a sparkling crystal in the hole.
They dug it out to examine it, discovering that the crystal was embedded in a thick book.
Nai and Mea didn't mind the dirt, sitting down on the ground to flip through it.
"The Underworld Beast Emperor, once sealed by the Sky Saint in the past, has awakened once more, but his form is not yet complete. Awakening at the same time are his subordinates, the Vampire Queen, General Kai Li, and the Magic Knight..."
The two read on, growing more and more astonished, "Isn't this telling our story?"
"But then the five-colored mages appeared, defeating the Underworld Beasts one by one?"
"Yes, and some of them were our adorable pets."
Finally, the two stopped reading when they reached the part where Ming Ji Cang Rem was defeated.
"This book looks like it was written a long time ago, yet it records even the most recent events. Could it be the Book of Prophecy! But..."
Their expressions shifted from initial astonishment to calm, and then finally to confusion.
"Why, in this book, are only mages confronting Infershia, with no mention of Kamen Riders?"
"Indeed, and why do I feel like the events recorded in this book have actually happened?"
"Perhaps we should keep reading, maybe the next events will truly happen in the future! The Underworld Beast Emperor had his physical body shattered by a Sky Saint, and his soul was sealed once again..."
Just then, the book suddenly transformed into a butterfly, flapping its pages and flying into the distance.
"Wait, I haven't finished reading!"
Nai and Mea shouted and gave chase.
After an unknown duration of pursuit, the two leaped forward and finally caught the book.
Only then did they have time to observe their surroundings, "Where is this?"
Infershia had a place they had never been to, which astonished them.
They cautiously groped their way forward, but because it was too dark, they didn't watch their step and slipped.
Both fell straight down the cliff.
"Ah!!"
The two screamed, clinging to each other in mid-air. Finally, before hitting the ground, they transformed into Vancuria, gently flapping their wings to reduce the impact.
"Hmm?"
Vancuria looked around, realizing that the bottom of this abyss didn't seem naturally formed.
"This place is very similar to Lord Dark Demon's altar, but it's much larger. Such a large altar, who is it for? I once heard that Lord Dark Demon's altar was built to mimic the valley where the Underworld gods reside. Could this be that place! Ah!!"
Vancuria, moving slowly, suddenly felt herself bump into something behind her. Immediately after, an extremely intense heat radiated, so hot that she screamed.
Vancuria instantly turned around, but the sight before her left her speechless with astonishment.
A colossal, mountain-like figure, its entire body flowing with red-gold lava, seemingly a Flame Demon from Arabian mythology — the Five Warrior Gods, Ifrit.
"Daring to trespass, impudent one!"
Ifrit slammed the gigantic spiked club in his hand to the ground, looking at Vancuria with disdain.
"Are you a god?"
Despite being threatened, Vancuria respectfully asked.
"Indeed, we are the gods of the Underworld!"
"Ah, another one has appeared."
Behind Vancuria, a voice suddenly responded. She turned to look, and it was another colossal figure.
"Too tall, too tall to see its face."
Ifrit emitted light from its own body, while this one before her was only a pitch-black silhouette.
Hesitating for a moment, Vancuria, wanting to witness a miracle, flew upwards.
When she reached face level, she finally saw clearly.
This was a god holding a double-ended spear similar to lightning, wearing patterned attire, like the Titan giants of Greek mythology. Its most prominent feature was its messy white hair covering more than half its face — the Five Warrior Gods, Titan.
"Oh God, actually..."
Vancuria didn't finish her sentence before she was struck by an object and flung into a rock face on the cliff.
Sure enough, it was another new giant monster. The difference was that this one had a mechanical style, with a single blood-red eye on its face, like the Cyclops of Greek mythology — the Five Warrior Gods, Cyclops.
He was holding a gigantic sniper rifle, aiming directly at Vancuria, scaring her so much that she immediately raised both hands.
"If you have nothing to do, don't come here, you're an eyesore!"
"I say, you people, how can you bully such a lovely girl?"
A gentle voice rang out. A figure holding a spear, wearing a pointed beak mask, its entire body covered in green scales, its feet having two claws, and a pair of wings, reached out and pressed down Cyclops' gun barrel — the Five Warrior Gods, Wyvern.
"I have something, something very important to report. The Underworld Beast Emperor has been sealed again by the Sky Saint and the mages."
"We already know this. Otherwise, we wouldn't have awakened."
The speaker was a monster that looked very much like the human-headed, lion-bodied Sphinx of Greek mythology, but in reality, she resembled a black cat more. She wore an Egyptian-style cloak, her right hand holding a colossal lion-shaped cannon that looked incredibly powerful, but the glasses on her face made her appear very intellectual — the Three Sage Gods, Sphinx.
"That Dark Demon is sealed again, this Underworld Beast Emperor is truly useless."
The one who uttered this mocking voice was a creature with a head full of snake hair. Needless to say, her original form was the three Gorgon sisters from Greek legend, and her name was also Gorgon. Her weapon was a shield carved with the likeness of a female demon, and she and Sphinx, also one of the Three Sage Gods, were sworn rivals, so no matter what Sphinx said, she would refute it.
"Because his body is not yet complete, this is unavoidable."
"Hmph!"
Gorgon pouted at Sphinx's explanation.
Next, several other Underworld gods also appeared before Vancuria.
"I didn't expect Infershia to have as many as nine gods," Vancuria said excitedly.
"No, little vampire, it's ten, it's just that Toad, once he awakens, disappears somewhere."
