Chapter 9
World 1 - Lord Nine Thousand Years (8)
The young man chuckled softly, a smile that was even more terrifying than King Yama. Without any mercy, he gripped Chu Feng Qi's face, his strength so great it nearly crushed the youth's jawbone.
Du Chao Gong forced him to look up, his gaze as cold as ice: "You think you're worthy of being used by me? Who gave you the gall to speak such arrogant words?"
Chu Feng Qi was in so much pain he couldn't speak, but he still forced the words out: "I want... to become your hound."
Du Chao Gong acted as if he had heard a joke. He personally poured a cup of wine and brought it to the youth's lips, a cold smile playing on his face: "You certainly are brave. This is a poison that causes instant death. Want to try it?"
Chu Feng Qi looked as if he held everything in his hands, his gaze fixed steadily on the young man. Each word broke through his teeth: "If I drink it, you must agree to my request."
Old habits die hard.
Du Chao Gong looked down at him and coldly let go, waiting for the youth to prove himself.
Chu Feng Qi looked at the cup of poisoned wine in Du Chao Gong's hand, the corners of his lips curling slightly. Meeting the young man's gaze, he pressed his lips to the cold rim of the cup and, following Du Chao Gong's hand, drank every last drop.
Perhaps because he wasn't holding it himself, a bit of the black medicinal liquid inevitably spilled from the corner of his mouth, flowing down his cold white skin to his neck before disappearing into his collar, leaving a distinct black ink-like trail.
Chu Feng Qi never looked away. Like a true dog, he stared intently at the young man while sticking out his tongue to lick clean the remaining liquid in the cup, his aura so seductive it could make one blush.
At this point, the youth bit the cup from the stiffened hand of Du Chao Gong, letting it roll onto the ground.
Chu Feng Qi obediently rested his chin on the young man's hand, his voice hoarse and his smile dazzling: "You've agreed. You cannot deceive me."
Du Chao Gong felt as if he had been burned and hurriedly withdrew his hand.
In a long life, one sees many things; truly, a long life reveals all. In his twenty-three years, Du Chao Gong had only ever met one freak like Chu Feng Qi. He had truly stepped into something foul.
He snorted coldly: "And what if I don't agree? This poison has no antidote. You might as well die early."
Chu Feng Qi blinked: "I don't want to die. I want to be your dog."
These words were like a haunting curse; from the moment they were uttered, they echoed incessantly in Du Chao Gong's ears, causing him immense irritation.
He could no longer endure it: "Enough."
The young man raised his foot and kicked hard against Chu Feng Qi's shoulder, the force pinning him to the ground, unable to move.
Even at this dead end, Chu Feng Qi's eyes remained bright. Seeing Du Chao Gong draw his sword to strike, he not only showed no fear but spoke clearly: "I want to help you achieve what you desire."
