The Canary's Escape Plan

I Look Forward to It

Chapter 42

I Look Forward to It

Ian cupped Shang Xing's face, his forehead pressing against Shang Xing's. He laughed loudly, his voice hoarse as he said, "Then go ahead and try! Let's see if I torture you until you beg me first, or if you kill me first!!"

Ian was mad with rage, his eyes abnormally bloodshot. Shang Xing glared back stubbornly; his parents had not yielded to Ian, and neither would he.

The dolls in Paradise changed batch after batch. The pure white, adorable dolls stood like spectators, enjoying his tragic plight. Their fluffy white bodies were splattered with his blood, and their cracked, bright red lips laughed loudly at his helplessness.

The black mist before his eyes grew thicker, filled with ghosts tempting him to slaughter.

On one side, the dolls mocked: "It hurts, doesn't it? Go beg Ian! Beg him like a dog, and maybe he'll show you some mercy, hahahaha."

"Look, look, Ian is holding the scissors again. Will he cut off your fingers this time? Or your toes? If you still don't beg for mercy, Ian has plenty of ways to make your life worse than death!"

"Don't be stubborn, weak human child. Someone like you only deserves to kneel before Ian, wagging your tail to please him!"

On the other side, the black mist enticed: "Shang Xing, kill Ian! You have the power to kill Ian!"

"Your parents and sister all died miserably at Ian's hands, and now you have fallen into his grasp, subjected to his torture. Are you willing to accept this?! To be treated like livestock by Ian forever?!"

"Kill Ian!! Shang Xing, you have the power to kill Ian. No, you have the power to destroy this world!!"

"Shang Xing, think carefully about your power. You are 'Hell' itself!"

Shang Xing endured the physical agony, his mind in complete chaos. Was he "Hell"?

"Hell?" he muttered. So he was "Hell." No wonder he suffered so much in the mortal world; his existence was never meant to be.

The voices in the black mist continued to echo: "You were born a demon. You are all the evil in the mortal world!"

"Your power is enough to destroy this world!"

"Kill Ian!!"

"Kill him!!!"

These voices were close at hand, lingering in his ears, constantly tempting him.

Ian gouged out his eyes again. Before him lay boundless darkness. In the dark, countless demons crawled out of hell, opening their fanged mouths to tear at him piece by piece.

The mocking laughter, the tempting whispers, and Ian's contemptuous words swirled around him.

Ian leaned close to his ear and said provocatively:

"Your little sister died so miserably, did you know? The moment she died, she was still calling your names. I told her you would join her soon, and she cried even harder, hahaha. I pierced her throat with a steel pipe and gouged out her eyes, yet she could still cry. Her crying, with diluted blood flowing from her eye sockets, disgusted me so much that I tore her apart alive, hahahahaha."

"I personally ripped open your mother's belly. At that time, she wasn't dead yet. She watched her own intestines spill out with her own eyes. I even gouged out her heart and stuffed it into her mouth. That scene... tsk... was too disgusting."

"I personally cut off your father's head using a dull knife. He didn't take his last breath until only a bit of flesh was left. Tell me, how much agony must he have been in before he died?"

Shang Xing hated him to the bone. He opened his mouth, but his tongue had been cut out by Ian, leaving him in too much pain to make a sound.

Shang Xing shook the chains on his hands, making them clank. The demons tearing at him crawled onto his body, clawing and biting his flesh with glee. One demon sniffed his neck and shoulder, about to bite down. He choked with rage, sky-high hatred, and intense agony consuming him.

The demon bit into his neck. Countless deaths were followed by rebirth.

"Dead?" Ian said with regret. He turned around, intending to leave Paradise.

Shang Xing opened his eyes. His long silver hair cascaded down, and the chains binding him turned to ashes. He landed softly on the ground, his toes stepping into the pool of blood.

Sensing something, Ian turned his head slightly. Seeing him, the madness in Ian's eyes deepened. "You are so beautiful. You're actually an angel, aren't you?"

Ian paused, then walked slowly to him, sighing, "Your eyes... they are vertical golden pupils. Those are the eyes of a demon."

Shang Xing choked Ian's neck, lifting him off the ground. He smiled and said, "Now, you have fallen into my hands."

Ian wasn't afraid at all. Instead, he grabbed Shang Xing's hand and said infatuatedly, "Yes, I have fallen into your hands. How do you want to torture me? I look forward to it."

Shang Xing reenacted the deaths of his parents on Ian. Since Ian was an ordinary human, after being tortured to death, Shang Xing resurrected him. Gradually, Ian's memories flooded into Shang Xing's mind.

Ian had grown up under his father's abuse. The father, who appeared kind to outsiders, was actually a scumbag who enjoyed raping and murdering young boys and girls. He tortured Ian every week under the guise of "pain is love; the more it hurts, the more I love you." His brothers, seemingly harmonious on the surface, actually committed countless atrocities against one another.

Ian's life was also miserable, filled with unbearable pain. Lacking love, he could only view his father's torture as "love."

Shang Xing resurrected Ian once more. How Ian lived had nothing to do with him; if not for Ian, his sister and parents wouldn't have died.

His lovely little sister in his memories was nothing but an eyesore pile of bones in Ian's memory.

Shang Xing gouged out Ian's eyes and tore him apart. However his sister had died, Ian died the same way.

Resurrecting Ian again, Ian trembled and crawled before him, begging for mercy like a dog: "My angel, I was wrong. I shouldn't have killed your parents and sister, nor should I have tortured you. I was wrong, I'm sorry... I'm sorry! I'm sorry!"

Ian apologized while banging his head against the floor: "I beg for mercy, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry..."

"Don't torture me anymore."

Ian cried with snot and tears, crawling to grab Shang Xing's trouser leg. He bowed his head humbly and licked Shang Xing's bare feet. "I can serve you. You will find it very pleasurable."

Disgusted, Shang Xing kicked Ian away. Ian crawled back regardless. Annoyed to no end, Shang Xing decided to kill Ian directly without resurrecting him again.

Ian hugged his leg, looking up with expectation on his lovely face: "I beg you, I beg you to spare me, I beg you..."

Perhaps noticing Shang Xing's disgusted look, Ian stared at him in confusion: "Every time I begged Father, begged him like a dog and served him like the humblest servant, Father would treat me gently and say he loved me. Why... why do you seem not to like me at all?"

He didn't want to say anything. He picked up the dagger on the ground, intending to give Ian a swift end.

The dagger slashed across Ian's neck. Ian stared at him blankly: "I beg you, I beg you... Papa... don't torture me anymore..."

Ian fell to the ground, the little demon filled with sin finally drawing his last breath.

Shang Xing stepped out of Paradise. "Now that the little demon is dead, it's time to kill the big demon."

The guards waiting outside Paradise—since the room was soundproof, they couldn't hear anything inside—saw that the person walking out was not their Young Master Ian. They pointed their spears at Shang Xing: "Where is Young Master Ian?!"

Shang Xing shrugged. "Dead."

He smiled. "I killed him."

Seeing him smile, the guards dazed for a second. In that brief moment, Shang Xing decapitated them.

Shang Xing looked at his bloody hands, feeling the surging power, as if he truly possessed the strength to destroy the world.

Paradise was located inside the Moton estate. Walking out of Paradise, he entered the main mansion of the Moton family. He killed his way through, not knowing how many lives he had taken. Since the Moton family was going to hell, he should go to hell too.

Baron Moton was sitting in the back garden admiring flowers, enjoying a leisurely afternoon. When a maid frantically reported that a murderous demon had appeared in the mansion, Baron Moton smiled slightly. Before his smile could fade, the maid was killed.

Shang Xing stood before Baron Moton. Baron Moton shouted, "Guards! Guards!!"

Shang Xing said, "Your sons are dead, your guards are dead, your maids are dead. In the entire mansion, you are the only one left."

Baron Moton was utterly shocked. He stared at Shang Xing, his eyes filled with terror: "Do you want to kill me?"

Shang Xing: "You have killed so many people. Did you never think that one day you would be killed too?"
